Position Overview: Senior Officer/Assistant Manager – Centralized Account Opening
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (minimum).
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related field would be preferred.
Responsibilities: As a Senior Officer/Assistant Manager in Centralized Account Opening, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating efficient account opening processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements: Understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements for opening accounts, including biometric verification of existing customers.
- AML/TF Risk Assessment: Awareness of the bank’s role in Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (ML/TF) risk assessment, in accordance with Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations. This includes assessing risks related to geographical and delivery channels.
- Regulatory Guidelines: Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to various account types, including Housewife, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), and Charity Accounts. Knowledge of Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) regulations.
- Ultimate Beneficial Owner & Fund Provider: Understanding the concept of ultimate beneficial owners and fund providers in the context of account opening.
- AML Guidelines for Dormant Accounts: Knowledge of AML guidelines for marking dormant accounts and procedures for surrendering unclaimed deposits to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
- Customer Focus & Innovation: Balancing customer-centricity with regulatory requirements and implementing mechanisms for monitoring Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Good Writing Skills: Effective communication and documentation skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Flexibility: Willingness to perform any duty as requested by the supervisor.
