About Us: Punjab Police is a renowned and reputable organization committed to enhancing public safety and security. As the Chief Operating Officer of Punjab Police, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation and management of critical security projects to safeguard the community.
Position:- Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Responsibilities:– As the Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with the Managing Director and have a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to
- Assisting the Managing Director in executing the IC3 project within approved resources and agreed deadlines.
- Coordinating contracts and procurement, including the development of RFPs and evaluating bids for the technology contractor.
- Acting as the primary liaison between Project staff, contractor staff, and the Authority.
- Developing detailed work plans, time tables, and Gantt Charts related to Project Management.
- Identifying and sequencing activities to ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, risk assessment, and coordination of various project components.
- Leading technology/process and SOP development work, identifying cross-functional work processes, hand-offs, dependencies, and information flow supported by new technologies.
- Devising and implementing media/communication strategies.
- Formulating stakeholder engagement strategies and strategic Communications plans.
- Ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed about project progress and addressing any arising issues.
- Acting as the Principal accounting officer if directed by the Managing Director.
- Initiating necessary disciplinary proceedings against violations of the code of conduct and handling discipline matters.
- Writing Performance Evaluation Reports of Chiefs of the Units and Junior Staff directly working under your supervision as a reporting officer.
- A Master’s degree (at least 2nd division) from a recognized university in Engineering, Law, Computer Sciences, or Public Administration.
- Age between 36 and 55 years.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Police administration, public policy formulation, and security analysis at national and international levels.
- Familiarity with counter-terrorism strategies in a civilian setup.
- Exposure to an international working/learning environment will be considered advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of IT applications in policing.
- Field experience and successful implementation of Police projects in districts.
- Experience in project management/implementation and a basic understanding of Project Planning & Procedures.
